Fenway Park

Red Sox™ fans are sure to admire this handsome and historic watercolor study of Fenway Park™. Through the incredible circumstances of the Red Sox™ coming back from a 2 game deficit to the Cleveland Indians in the race for the Pennant, Thom had the honor of commemorating this humble and charming stadium on the same day that the Red Sox won Game 7!

This image captures the excitement and spontaneity of that day and will be released as a time limited print. The collectors' print will be printed with a dark green border including the image title, the Major League Baseball™ logo and the Boston Red Sox™ logo. The print measures 16x20 and is framed in a stylish, matte-finish black frame that easily blends with both traditional and contemporary home décor.

Footprints In Sand

The parable about footprints in the sand, which reminds us that God carries us through our times of trouble, resonates with profound truth.

My Footprints in the Sand bustles with human activity - families strolling the pier, fishermen, even my first-ever portrayal of a surfer. Two pairs of footprints in the sand narrow to one, reminding us that when our lives are troubled, God will carry us through to joyous spiritual victory.

Good Life

In The Good Life, third and final piece in my Beginning of a Perfect Evening collection, I have in effect set up my easel in that imagined space where God's bounty is manifest. I identify with the fisherman, who lives in a profound harmony with nature and receives its gifts with humble gratitude. Towering peaks embrace the valley. I imagine that my wife and daughters are safely tucked away within, enjoying the pleasures of domesticity, as they await my return with the evening catch. Alone with my family, safe, peacefully savoring the glories of God's creation - that is my image of The Good Life. I invite you to enjoy it with me.

Spirit of Christmas

I experience layers of memory as I walk down Spirit of Christmas, the first in my new Christmas series. A wonderful evening mail coach carries trumpet-blowing heralds across the weathered stone bridge. Welcoming lights pour from the windows of the whimsical cottages.

Spirit of Christmas is inspired by the classic holiday icons of image makers like Currier and Ives. I hope it awakens your own deepest memories of the "season of lights".

Yankee Stadium

In 2008, Yankee Stadium, the greatest cathedral to the game of baseball, will close its doors forever. I could not let such a historic moment pass without honoring it in my way. This is the original Yankee Stadium - the house that Ruth built.

Because this is a distant view, you can people the field with Yankee heroes of your choosing. Could that be Lou Gehrig on first base? Babe Ruth in right field? Joe DiMaggio patrolling center? For eighty-five years, some of the greatest players in the game have called Yankee Stadium home.

Cobblestone Evening

There are inspiring places I return to time and again. The English Cotswolds of the Cobblestone Lane series are one such favorite destination.

Throughout the series, I've imagined that our journey would end at just such a destination as we discover in Cobblestone Evening. We've come full circle with this classic English village; fittingly, our ramble ends at just that breathless hour when the plump trout are biting in the brook, and stillness wraps the land in a fleecy blanket of perfect peace. Cobblestone Evening ends one journey, but promises others.

Graceland 50th Anniversary

Fifty years ago, the King of Rock 'n Roll bought the palace that became a Mecca for lovers of American pop culture. Graceland is one of the most visited homes in America.

I grew up with Elvis Presley's great songs and movies; naturally, I was delighted when I got the opportunity to paint the official 50th Anniversary portrait of Graceland. I set up my easel at Graceland on a crisp autumn morning when the stately home was particularly cozy and welcoming. I was inspired to paint it with smoke curling from the chimney and a golden light blazing in every window.

Serenity Cove

Serenity Cove, featuring a lighthouse inspired by Marblehead Light on Lake Erie, celebrates the guidance my faith offers as I face life's transitions. For me, the four boats sailing towards the horizon symbolize the life journey of my four daughters as they grow into adulthood.

In nature, times of change are often the most brilliantly colored. The transition of sunset paints the fading hues of autumn with a heavenly radiance; in this, the still waters of Serenity Cove reflect the glory of earth and sky.

The lighthouse is not just a beacon of hope and symbol of faith; it is also a cozy family cottage. The gazebo and lawn furniture suggest the comfortable life lived within this safe haven.

The Spirit of New York

On a recent trip to New York with my family, we got the chance to boat on the East River, enjoying seldom-seen views of the city. As I savored the panorama of the Brooklyn Bridge towering above the glistening city skyline it dawned on me: what image could better summarize The Spirit of New York?

As I labored on the epic canvas I came to see the many boats upon the East River as somehow symbolic. The humble harbor tug flying Old Glory expresses New York's tremendous resolve in the face of challenges. Cargo ships remind us of economic power, while a military vessel suggests the power of heroism. A vintage ferry boat plies the waters of the East River, and an array of pleasure boats confirm that after all these years, the city still knows how to throw a party.

In the far distance, Lady Liberty holds high the torch of freedom for all to see.
